Blue Mage Spells
Introduction
Blue mage spells can be learned with certain monsters, through quests, or by purchasing totems from npc after completed certain conditions.
For learn a spell, it is necessary to let the monster cast it once without interrupting it, then you can kill the monster and see if you succeeded to learn it. It is not necessary to take the malus effects of the attack, the simple fact of being in combat against it is sufficient.
It is also good to know that the rank of the spell determines your chances of obtaining it, the higher the rank, the more the chances of obtaining it decrease (especially in unsynch instances).
To increase your chances, you can do the full party with the levels sync. To do this, if you do not yet have access to the Blue Mage Log, go to the settings of the mission tool, first select "Undersized Party" and then "Level sync".
To find companions to complete an instance with you, you can either create your pf via the party finder, or to win time and have the pf which is directly preset for blue mages, go via the Blue Magic Spellbook -> Blue Mage Log (Level 60 required and blue mage quest completed).
Being in a full team of blue mage only will increase your chances of getting the spell, with each blue mage having a chance to learn the spell and if one blue mage learns the spell, the others learn it as well.
To save your hotbar slots and the spells used, you can save them in your blue mage spell sets (up to 24 active actions). You have 5 sets of blank spells that you can rename, each set records independently of each other the location of your spells that you have placed in your hotbar.
So, you can easily register a tank set, a dps set, and a heal set for example.
